Blanket Distribution 2009 in Gurgaon, Nov 17, 2009

My Experiences during the blanket distribution
Palakkad, India

Dear friends,

On the morning of Ammucare blanket distribution in Gurgaon, Delhi, while brushing my teeth, I was looking at myself in a mirror and thinking about all the “coincidences” which happened recently. Significantly, that morning I woke up in the “Fortune Hotel”, Gurgaon (how fortunate!). I live in Kolkata with my husband and our son studies in Gurgaon, Delhi. We got a wedding to attend in Delhi on 13th and Ammucare blanket distribution was scheduled for the 15th of November (who can create these kinds of “coincidences” if not Creator Himself?!). Staying for 2 days longer and being a part of it went without saying. A very good friend of mine Gurpreet immediately decided to join me, as well as my husband and son. Night before the blanket distribution we went to the cinema to see release of the movie “2012”. Movie was real disappointment from the spiritual aspect, but I was enjoying conversations with my husband, son and friends, becoming aware of the shift which is already happening in everyone’s life… What is the shift? Shift is Ammucare, love, compassion, awareness of Oneness,… all part of the changes which will lead to the betterment of this planet and life on it.

Just before leaving my hotel room I’ve realized that I was feeling very cold. Why?! Air condition in my living room was on 21 and draft very strong. My first thought went to all those who are feeling very cold outside, on the streets of Delhi and to whom we were about to distribute the blankets… and look at me – consuming precious energy to cool down my room even though the temperature outside was almost the same, even lower. I was ashamed… and switched off that AC immediately!!!

Team of Ammucare volunteers which we met for the first time was full of energy, love, willingness and eagerness to help. The entire event was so well organized and coordinated. I was so happy for being allowed to visit the slum on that early, foggy morning. Children were just waking up, still lazy, but having those amazing sparkles of eternal happiness and excitement in their eyes… No, they were not fortunate to wake up in “Fortune Hotel”, but yes, smiles of those who wake up daily in small huts are much bigger than of many of those who wake up in 5 star hotels…

Moments of giving and sharing are always unforgettable and bring so much of joy to all the participants… everyone is grateful – those who receive needed help and those who are in a position to share… I was in a completely different plane during the entire event and such a divine energy was all around… and once we finished, it was of no surprise to me once I turned towards our car to notice a huge billboard of Shirdi Baba just above our cars, facing the area where blanket distribution took place (photo of the poster is attached) …. Hmmm, I smiled - Baba was “supervising” the entire event and showering His blessings on all of us… He always does… God bless Ammucare for playing such a significant role in this big divine Shift… God bless all the volunteers and all those who supported this event with their contributions… God bless all…

Love,

Dana.
